Blackhawk™ USB560 JTAG Emulator
Overview
The Blackhawk™ USB560 JTAG Emulator is the first XDS560™-class emulator using the high-speed USB 2.0 interface. Using the USB host interface, the USB560 JTAG Emulator will link the GUI debugger (Code Composer Studio™ v2.1), running on a PC workstation or portable computer, to the target DSP. This enables the developer to take advantage of the latest emulation technology from TI and use it anywhere.
The added benefit of the Blackhawk™ USB560 JTAG Emulator is that it is a USB peripheral. Portable, compact design with easy installation and high compatibility. No need to worry about free slots, IRQs, I/O addresses, and non-standard parallel ports.
The XDS560 JTAG scan-based emulator is the next-generation emulation controller that supports high-speed RTDX on an enabled processor for real-time data rates of over 2 MB/second. It provides an unparalleled level of real-time visibility into an executing application to assist developers in debugging real-time systems. The XDS560 can achieve code download speeds of up to 500 Kbytes per second improving start-up times for larger applications and thus speeding development. The XDS560 also enables real-time non-intrusive Advanced Event Triggering capabilities, including event sequence detection, extended benchmarking capabilities, and program range breakpoints. The XDS560 is compatible with existing XDS510-class emulators, and uses the identical 14-pin JTAG header connector used by the XDS510 to preserve investments made in software and target boards.
The Blackhawk USB560 JTAG Emulator supports TMS320,
TMS470 (ARM) and OMAP families. Legacy support for
Code Composer v4.1x and Code Composer Studio v1.2 gives
users access and compatibility to VC33, C20x and C24x. The
USB560 JTAG Emulator is also compatible with Code Composer
Studio Flash-burner utility.
