VoIP and Video Modules
VoIP Modules, Video Modules
Signalogic VoIP modules allow equipment manufacturers to add Texas Inst/Telogy
world-class VoIP services to router, enterprise PBX and carrier gateway equipment.
Signalogic is a leading provider of DSP and VoIP modular solutions in ultra small
form-factors, ranging from SODIMM to PMC, with channel capacities ranging from 32 to
2304 carrier grade voice channels, including ITU, GSM, CDMA, and cable voice codecs and echo cancellation.
As with their VoIP counterparts, Signalogic video modules allow OEMs to add IP video services to network infrastructure equipment, including H.264, motion JPEG, WM9, and machine vision.
Modules are available as both off-the-shelf and on application-specific basis. Due
to Signalogic's DSP expertise and 15-year experience, voice channel density and
modular solution engineering is superior to "shake and bake" OEM contract manufacturers such as
Solectron and Sanmina. For example, Signalogic modules do not require per-DSP
heatsinks, and include design engineering for multi-DSP JTAG scan, high current capacity, and full functional test system options.
Some ways that Signalogic innovates in DSP modular solutions:
-
for video modules, very high-speed interfaces, including UTOPIA, PCI-e, and XBus
-
distributed switching and "point of load" power generation
PCB embedded heat dissipation and heat flow techniques
creative methods to allow JTAG debug connection without sacrificing module space
on module logic PLD for multi-processor control, "broadcast mode" DSP memory access
Signalogic maintains a
close working relationship with TI/Telogy and a deep understanding of TI's VoIP
software architecture and operation. This knowledge is used to integrate TI/Telogy
voice software intimately with the module design, to obtain maximum channel capacity
and testability, while minimizing power consumption and cost.
Signalogic's voice and DSP products are used in a wide variety of network
infrastructure equipment including voice and media gateways, high-speed routers,
switches, access multiplexers, cross-connect systems, add-drop multiplexers and
digital loop carrier equipment.
